From 1 April 2025, the National Living Wage applies to all workers aged 21 and over (previously 23 and over). The National Minimum Wage continues to apply to younger workers and apprentices.
Minimum and Living Wage Rates (Effective from 1 April 2025)

| 18 to 20 | £10.00 |
| Under 18 | £7.55 |
| Apprentice | £7.55 |
Note: Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they are:
– Aged under 19, or
– Aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship.
Apprentices aged 19+ who have completed the first year of their apprenticeship are entitled to the minimum wage for their age group.
